Terms of Service

1. Who we are and acceptance

Battle Mic, based in the United States, provides BattleMic, a platform for live artist battles, audience voting, profiles and community interactions. By creating an account or continuing to use BattleMic, you agree to these terms and contract with Battle Mic for use of the service. Contact us at Wearebattlemic@gmail.com. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Purchasers must be legally able to enter a contract.

2. Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account. Do not impersonate another artist or misrepresent your identity.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use BattleMic for unlawful activity, fraud, spam, threats, harassment or hateful abuse. Do not infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy, upload malware, probe or interfere with security, scrape the service without permission, manipulate votes, or bypass access restrictions. Artistic competition does not excuse threats or unlawful content.

4. Content and intellectual property

You retain rights you hold in your performances, profile, comments and other submitted content. You must have permission for music, recordings, images and other materials you use. You grant Battle Mic a non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit and display your content solely to operate the service. Battle Mic retains ownership of BattleMic’s software, documentation, branding and other service intellectual property; these terms grant a limited, non-transferable right to use the service, not ownership.

Report rights violations or request a takedown at Wearebattlemic@gmail.com, identifying the material, its location and your rights. We may remove or restrict content and suspend accounts for repeated or serious infringement.

5. Serious Battler subscriptions

Serious Battler includes a two-day free trial with all subscriber benefits, followed by recurring billing of $8 USD per month, plus any applicable tax shown at checkout. A payment method is required. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the monthly charge. Benefits activate only after confirmation of the trial or payment, not simply by clicking checkout. Manage or cancel your subscription through profile settings. After a paid subscription is canceled, benefits remain available until the end of the paid period.

Battle Mic provides your membership. Checkout is processed through Stripe. Where shown at checkout, Stripe handles tax compliance, fraud protection, disputes and transaction-level customer support. Your bank statement may show LINK.COM* followed by the payment descriptor. Product and account support remain with Battle Mic.

6. External donations

Subscribers may publish an external fundraiser and request follower support. “Support This Artist” opens an external payment page. Donations are separate from the monthly subscription and are not processed by Battle Mic. The artist and external provider are responsible for donation terms, fulfillment and any donation refunds. Do not publish misleading fundraisers.

7. Availability and AI feedback

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or any audience size, battle outcome or fundraising results. Where AI-generated coaching or feedback is offered, outputs may be inaccurate and are not regulated professional advice. You are responsible for your prompts, verifying outputs, how you use them and having rights to submitted material. Do not use AI features to produce illegal content, deceptive deepfakes, hate speech or malware, or attempt to bypass safeguards. You retain rights in your inputs; any rights in outputs are subject to applicable law and third-party rights, and uniqueness is not guaranteed. We may refuse or filter outputs, remove content and suspend accounts for misuse or repeated infringement. Rights complaints can be sent to the contact above.

8. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Contact us to request account deletion. Ending an account does not replace cancellation of your subscription; cancel billing through your subscription management page. Information may be retained where required for legal, security or dispute-handling purposes, as described in our Privacy Notice.

9. Liability and changes

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and Battle Mic is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. We may revise these terms and will update the effective date; material changes will be communicated through the service or email where appropriate.
